MENA Film Festival: Cinematic Creations in the Netherlands
The Dutch city of The Hague is preparing to host the new edition of the MENA Film Festival, which represents a unique platform for showcasing the latest cinematic creations from the Middle East and North Africa region. This festival, held from April 5th to 6th, and then moving to the city of Leiden on April 24th and 25th, aims to support independent cinema and young filmmakers in the region, and to present contemporary visual perspectives that reflect the diversity and richness of Arab culture.

High-Profile Jury
The festival’s jury includes a selection of filmmakers and writers, chaired by the Dutch-Algerian director Karim Traïdia, with members including theater artist Sigrid de zwart, Yemeni storyteller Huda, and Algerian film director Taher Houchi. This distinguished committee will be responsible for selecting the winners of the festival’s awards, which include Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Film, Jury Prize, Justice and Peace Award, and Audience Award.
Humanitarian Goals and Universal Values
The MENA Film Festival is not limited to screening films; it also seeks to promote the values of peace and intercultural understanding through films that focus on humanitarian goals. This festival emphasizes the power of cinema to create constructive dialogue and positive change in society.
