MENA Film Festival 2026 — Film Screenings and Workshops

Around 25 people attended screenings on social isolation, friendship and connecting with others. Ramón Hanitos and Shaalan Sharif led the audience discussions, and Sattar Al-Saadi and Rik van Boeckel performed live music. Poet and theatre-maker Nasr Eddine Bouchkif gave a masterclass on how filmmakers around the world have challenged racism, and took part in a book signing. A make-up workshop brought women from different cultural backgrounds together to share skills, exchange experiences and get to know one another.
